Griffin's Pappy and Nanny Vigliano are staying (Joe and Susan) for the weekend with my siblings Michael, Gabriel and Elizabeth. Griffin is wearing 3 month size clothes and he is just about busting out of his size 1 diapers. We bought a whole case of size 1 so we are trying to use them as fast as possible before moving up a size. He sometimes leaks through so we are changing outfits often. Maybe we just don't want him to grow up! Today Joe, Susan, Michael, Gabriel and Elizabeth are going to the beach and we might take Griffin. We have a beach tent, but we are worried about getting sand on his skin because it is so sensitive. I think that is a very first-time-parent thing to say.
Griffin is 6 weeks old today!!! Happy 6 week Birthday!!

Meeting Griffin was a real joy for our entire family.
For me (Joe), it was like seeing Baby Vinny all over again. They really do look related. He's adorable and alert--both signs of great intelligence (like his Dad).
And the way he watches your mouth when you talk to him, I'm sure he'll be speaking in no time.
Susan still isn't sure what it is he likes about running water in the tub. But she's pragmatic enough to use whatever works.
And the boys were happy they didn't have to share videogame time with Griffin. Maybe next time.
Elizabeth? She gave everything a thumbs up, especially the cats, Mojo, and Lilly--as long as Lilly and Mojo were on the other side of the gate.
We can't wait to visit again. Although maybe Vinny. Megan and Griffin can :-)
No no no, the pleasure was all ours. Hopefully next time I don't have to put some football players in their place on the beach.
