Mother's day weekend

A weekend at Grandma and Grandpa's house in Emerald Isle. We went swimming but the water was only 80 so still a little chilly for the adults.... Griffin loved it (there's not much he doesn't love)




He started walking the day before Mother's day. What a gift.

His new chair

We gave him his new chair after his party. He smiled when he saw it and immediately climbed up into it. He made himself very comfortable. Now when I sit in it, he comes over to me and pushes on my back to tell me 'get out of my seat!'



We were finally able to turn his car seat around- he was thrilled (to say the least)

The cake

I made Griffin's cake. I think he enjoyed it.




Afterwards, he needed hosed off in his new baby pool.

We had wonderful weather and friends to share the day with...

Kelly is Griffin's babysitter and Noah is her son. Griffin loves them both so much.

The gifts

He's had a little practice but I think he did really well. He was actually trying to give his things away to other people. He 'ooohed' for his gifts and wanted to play with everything immediately.

Griffin turns 1

The morning of Griffin's first birthday we went to the beach. His Aunt Jenny, Uncle Mike and cousins Jonathan and Julia were visiting. He enjoyed the sand and sun and started standing up, on his own, more and more.

April 2009 trip to Harrisburg

We went to Harrisburg the weekend before Griffin's birthday, to help Kathy move. He had so much fun at Gammy's new place- he loved all her mirrors and stairs-- and his own room!!!

Here are some pics from that party. He enjoyed seeing all of his family and friends. He was grateful for every gift. He was very cautious at the beginning of his cake smashing but by the end, he was hugging it.
