7 weeks old

Griffin turned 7 weeks old today.
His hair continues to get lighter and he is gaining so much weight. He blew threw size 1 diapers and is already in 2's. His smiles are frequent and make me so happy. This little guy is sleeping less and less during the day, affording me many hours of entertainment before going back to work next week. His cheeks are getting chubbier and he's making cute little spit bubbles. We just watched our first baby Einstein video tonight, which he showed great interest. We have also started to do infant massage with him. He's not sure about that yet, but he loves the eye contact. He still loves to be in a carrier and can sleep in it until his diaper needs changed or he gets too hot. He is such a hot baby. He doesn't like to be swaddled anymore and we've noticed that he gets sensory overload with too many people or noises around him.
It's so weird and wonderful to be some one's mom (other than the dogs' and cats'). I know how much he depends on me and I really can't imagine life without him. I hate to be away from him. It's like we always had a place for him but we were just waiting for him to decide when he was ready for us. He is such a blessing, Vinny and I are so in love with him.

Griffin's Pappy and Nanny Vigliano are staying (Joe and Susan) for the weekend with my siblings Michael, Gabriel and Elizabeth. Griffin is wearing 3 month size clothes and he is just about busting out of his size 1 diapers. We bought a whole case of size 1 so we are trying to use them as fast as possible before moving up a size. He sometimes leaks through so we are changing outfits often. Maybe we just don't want him to grow up! Today Joe, Susan, Michael, Gabriel and Elizabeth are going to the beach and we might take Griffin. We have a beach tent, but we are worried about getting sand on his skin because it is so sensitive. I think that is a very first-time-parent thing to say.

Griffin is 6 weeks old today!!! Happy 6 week Birthday!!
